[Updated December 2025]
This is my personal list of Canadian lit-mags that publish the kind of short fiction I read and write, and for which I’m eligible to submit.
These are not ALL the literary magazines out there in our northern land. (You won’t find Ricepaper here because I’m not Asian Canadian, and you won’t find Arc because I don’t write poetry.) To discover more Can-lit markets, check out the National Magazine Awards guide to Canadian literary journals.
But if you write short stories and need a handy list with word counts and payment details, my list is perfect.
